Services
What we scan

Transparent and reflective originals, handled according to format, condition and intended use.

We work with personal archives, photographers, publishers and production teams, adapting the workflow to each material rather than relying on one universal scanning method.

equipment
Different scanners excel at different tasks

That is why we maintain multiple professional systems in one lab — so the workflow can be adapted to the original, not forced into one machine.

Our lab combines drum, virtual drum and high-end flatbed systems so we can choose the most suitable workflow for each original. Sharpness, density range, format flexibility and intended output all matter — which is why scanner choice should follow the material, not the other way around.

about the lab
A lab built for demanding originals A lab built around film, color and precision
  1. Prague-based lab serving clients worldwide
  2. Drum, virtual drum and flatbed scanning in one workflow
  3. Experience with fragile, rolled and archive materials
  4. Scanning, retouching, print and finishing under one roof

Scan Hub is a Prague-based photographic lab focused on high-end digitization of film, slides, transparencies and selected reflective originals. Our work combines technical precision with careful physical handling: inspection, cleaning, anti-static preparation, test scanning, final capture and, when needed, retouching or print preparation.

Because we operate several top-tier scanning systems in one calibrated environment, we can recommend the workflow that best matches the original and the intended use — whether the goal is preservation, publishing, exhibition or large-format print.
how we work
A professional scan starts before the scanner
  • Receiving and condition check
  • Cleaning and anti-static preparation
  • Selection and test scans
  • Workflow approval
  • Final high-resolution scanning
  • Optional retouching, print and return

Inspection, cleaning, film preparation, test capture, approval and final scanning are all part of a controlled workflow designed to protect the original and improve the result.

Color management
One calibrated color-managed workflow
Our scanners, displays and output devices are maintained within a consistent color environment using professional xRite tools, allowing more reliable comparison, correction and print preparation.
For the client, this means more predictable files, more objective scanner comparison and fewer surprises when moving from scan to retouch, proof or final print.
