axiom statement
There is no the best scanner for all situations! Each scanner is right for certain originals and workflow goals.
ICG® 380 Drum Scanner

What this scanner is used for

The ICG 380 is used for film originals that justify a true drum-scanning workflow: demanding transparencies negatives and other materials where maximum extraction of detail and tonal information is important. It is especially relevant for originals intended for large reproduction fine printing publishing exhibition work or critical archive preservation.
At Scan Hub the ICG 380 is not presented as an isolated prestige machine but as one part of a calibrated multi-scanner environment. That means it is chosen when it is genuinely the right technical path for the original while still allowing direct comparison with Flextight and flatbed workflows in the same lab.
  • Chosen for demanding film originals rather than routine scanning
  • Particularly well suited to difficult shadows and subtle tonal transitions
  • Useful when large output sizes require maximum file integrity
  • Integrated into a controlled colour-managed workflow from scan to final file

Part of a calibrated multi-scanner system

The value of the ICG 380 at Scan Hub is not only the scanner itself but the fact that it works inside the same calibrated environment as our Flextight and Epson systems. This allows scanner choice to be matched to the original instead of forcing every project through a single workflow.

For the client that means more objective comparison more consistent communication and a safer more coherent path from original handling to the final file prepared for archive publication exhibition or print.

  • Four high-end scanners in one lab
  • Unified calibration across capture and output
  • Objective comparison without shipping originals to multiple providers
  • One team handling the project from start to finish
